How to finish my thesis
It made me
suffer 
"hard, long, never-ending"
How I did it: just worked through my stuff (stats, literature etc.). I started by compiling a lot of statistics for my thesis. The basics, i.e. theory structure and references came afterwards.
Lessons & tips: 1. start right away
2. always let other people check your progress, i.e. give them chapters to review and for feedback
3. make a good time schedule
Resources: Mac:
Mellel (great for layouting and consistency), contra: most people use MS Word, so write c+p your work first there, accept the corrections and then c+p it back into your word processor of choice
Sente (bibliography, never work without such a great piece of software!)
