How to get lasik eye surgery
How I did it: I just found a place in the phone book (because I'm new in town), set up a consultation, thought about it, then scheduled the surgery. I chose the doctor with the most experience in the city. It cost a lot though but I guess you shouldn't skimp on your eyesight. So It took a few weeks between me finding a place, doing the consultation, researching, and then actually getting the surgery. The surgery only only a few minutes but the testing beforehand and the initial consultation took maybe an hour and a half.
Lessons & tips: There are very few complications with Lasik. Its only uncomfortable for a little while. Get someone who is experienced.
Resources: If you can, ask other people who they went to and what it was like. I read reviews of my doctor online by just doing a Google search of his name. I also looked up possible risks. I got a brochure from the clinic and read it over, but I also checked online.
