How to get up two "snoozes" after my alarm first goes off
How I did it: I faced two major hurdles in achieving this goal. Originally, this goal was to get up when my alarm goes off. However, since I take a while to become alert in the morning, I decided to change this goal to "get up two snoozes after my alarm clock goes off". This allowed me to wake up in a manner that much better suited me.
The second hurdle to achieving this goal was that I was trying to become something I am not: an early riser. I had visions of getting up early each morning and accomplishing numerous tasks before leaving for work. After I accepted the fact that it goes against my whole nature to get up early, I decided to set my alarm to a later time. This later time was still early enough to allow me to accomplish the essentials of getting ready for work and get there on time.
Once I had identified and overcome those two hurdles, everything seemed to fall into place and I was able to achieve this goal.
Lessons & tips: Don't work against yourself.
