How I did it: Starting a PhD is easy after you have support from the teacher and, in my case, your company. You just need to:

1. Ask the university what documentation they need
2. Wait
3. After some time without reply, pressure the people who you've asked before
4. Wait
5. After the reply, procure the necessary documentation
6. Wait
7. After some time without the documents, pressure the people who should be working on them
8. Wait
9. When you get the documents, send them over to the university
10. Wait
11. After some time without reply, pressure the people at the university
12. Wait
13. After you get the reply, try to get registred
14. Get a reply informing you that you need more documents or corrections on one of the ones you already sent
15. Rinse, repeat until you finally jump over point 14
16. Register
17. Wait for the id card to be produced
18. Pressure them
19. Wait
20. Get your student id card
21. Get plastered and enjoy going back to being a student!
22. There is no point 22
