How I did it: This is something I've always wanted to do, and it took my hair a while to grow out after a summer haircut. After weeks of waiting, I finally decided one day just to get it done. So I went to a local SuperCuts, told the hairdresser what I wanted to do, and she put my hair into 4 sections. After she cut them, I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Literally! I know my hair wasn't the required length, but LOL can still use it to help their manufacturer's costs.

Lessons & tips: Make sure your ready! I was super nervous beforehand, and had a bit of short hair regret afterwords. But I'm so glad I went through with it. It made me feel good in both appearance and heart.

Resources: I called a few different shops first to see if they did Locks of Love. There was a free shop nearby, but I ultimately decided to go to a place I had previous success with and knew I would be comfortable in.
