" I published a collection of my blogs, poetry, and creative writing on blurb.com. 90 people viewed my book the first week, and I sold 2 copies already!"
How I did it: I finally decided that dreaming was fun, but I really have something to say. Last spring, I had given a motivational presentation for the marketing reps for the company I worked for, and a few of them suggested I do a weekly email of an inspirational thought. After a few weeks, I motivated myself to pursue a new career...which translated to more motivation to follow my dreams and make them real!
I had heard of blurb.com, an online self-publishing company. I downloaded the free software and started playing with it. The formats are great for beginners, and you can include photos if you wish. On Sunday, October 12, 2008, after dreaming since the age of 17 that I can publish a book...I clicked the "publish book" button.
