How to make a video for youtube
How I did it: Actually, I wanted to make a video to post up one and a half years ago but I felt really silly doing it. The computer was also out in the open where my family could hear me so it was embarrassing to do one out there.
Now, the computer is in my room and a few weeks ago I thought about it again. I decided this time, I'll definitely make one.
I suppose a good one to start is to reply with a video response because that's what I did. I watched a few of those 51 things I found in my house memes so I decided to do one myself and it was fun!
You don't even have to use your voice for that one!
After that I made a couple of vlogs with actual speaking in it. It was hard at first because I still felt really silly talking to a computer but I guess you get used to it.
I planned what I wanted to say in my head and did short recordings of something I wanted to say then stopped. In the end, I used iMovie to compile everything together and to cut out the pauses and stuff. I don't know about Windows, but I think they have that Windows Movie Maker program.
TL;DR
I made a video.
Yay!
Now the challenge is maintaining this.
Lessons & tips:
Plan what you want to say first, but don't follow word for word. Have an idea what you want to say and speak like you would to a person, crowd, etc depending on what video you are aiming for.
Make yourself look presentable for the camera.
When I do that, I feel confident about making a video.
Make the video itself look presentable.
Add music to add atmosphere.
If you want.
Unless you want to keep it totally real.
I don't know about music videos.
Maybe I will try that someday too!
Though I'm still learning so I'm all up for advice too!
(I won't post the link here though ... ;;; )
