How I did it: When I realized it was time to do something about my weight (I'd gained 15 pounds in a year) I remembered how ineffective every diet I ever did was for me.
Still I started dieting again and barely lost any weight.
That's when I made up my mind and signed a contract with a local gym. I go there at least thrice a week, some times more often and I found that I enjoy it a lot.
I take my iPod along and listening to music makes it much easier because it gets less boring to do the cardio workout (especially when you spent about an hour on it).
As for the strengthening excercise with the machines, it's fun anyway.
By now I've lost 20 pounds of fat that I know but it's probably more because I build up a LOT of muscle mass, too.
I'm fitter than ever, got pretty thin but all along very lithe and my body now begins to define. I'm very proud of the stomach where the muscles slowly but surely begin to show, it'll take a lot of work to get the six-pack but now I'm up for it.
It's great and training makes me feel SO good. I feel like I miss something on a day that I do nothing for my body that's why I keep those days spare but sometimes there's other stuff that needs to be done sadly...
