How to complete NaNoWriMo
"Dedicating myself to this one thing for a month and having that deadline made all the difference."
How I did it: Steadily. I tried to make the daily word count of 1,667 words every day. I got ahead on some weekends which compensated for the couple of days during the month that I took off completely.
Lessons & tips: I feel really fortunate that I was able to talk a local friend in to doing it with me so that we could get together to write and keep each other motivated. We probably met twice a week, including one time a week with the local NaNoWriMo meetup group.
