How to play an instrument

How I did it: I took a class at my university to learn to play guitar. It was a great class and got me started. Now I still feel motivated to play and can't wait to learn more songs, and eventually write my own.
Lessons & tips: A class or an instructor are very helpful and will make sure you practice. I think that is the key: practice, practice, and practice some more, practice until you can't take no more. :)
