How I did it: I thought about what causes/issues meant the most to me and went from there.  I checked the websites of related organizations to see what kind of help they needed. 

Lessons & tips: Everyone has the time!  There is something out there that would fit anyone's schedule.  If micro volunteering (just a few minutes at a time) is a good idea:  www.beextra.org
