How to see a moose (a live one...)
"Odd looking creatures."
How I did it: I live in Maine (you know, where the mooseare supposed to be). But in my entire lifetime I had never seen a wild moose. Until when I was about 14 or 15. Then I suddenly began to see moose everywhere.
First when I was eating dinner I saw one far away on top of a hill. It made the hill look very small.
The second time I saw moose was when my mom and I were driving back from a concert at night. Two moose walked right in front of us across the road! I'm glad we didn't hit them.
The third (and most amazing) time was during the summer. I had some friends over and we had been doing archery in the yard. We'd quit shooting arrows and were standing around talking. I was talking to one of my friends and all of a sudden I stopped talking to her and began to stare past her at the road. There was a moose (a young male--no antlers) on the road. The moose crossed the road and walked right into my yard as we stared at it and slowly backed towards the house. It came right up to us, less than a yard away from me. It didn't look angry. It just looked sort of bored and bewildered and interested in us. Its expression was so human! It stepped closer and actually sniffed at my other friend's head, touching his hair! Then it turned around and wandered off.
