How to get better at guitar
How I did it: Both your approach and what constitutes success depend largely on what part of your playing you want to improve, as well as how much improvement you want to make. In my case, I've still got a long way to go, but the important thing is, it only took me a few months of steady daily practice (no excuses!) to begin to notice considerable improvement in my playing ability.
Lessons & tips: I can't tell you how to practice most effectively or efficiently, but I can tell you that you will not get any better if you don't practice. If you want to be a guitarist, you've simply got to spend a lot of time playing guitar, and there's no way around that. So keep practicing!
And don't be afraid to challenge yourself. The harder you work, the better you'll get. Learning new songs means learning new skills. But be sure to let yourself have fun, too, or you'll just burn out!
Resources: Online tabs - learn songs that are fun for you to play!
Community support - if you're serious about playing, try to perform regularly for people, and get them to cheer you on! It's a great motivator!
