How I did it: Luckily I had a partner so I didn't have to face such a large project on my own. I read both textbooks for the class so I would know what was going on. Our teacher gave us an example media plan to go by so that was a lifesaver. We split up the sections and worked on some sections together. Taking the plan section by section was the best thing we could have done, because we didn't get as overwhelmed by the extent of the plan. We focused on each section of the Situation Analysis first, then decided what type of ad schedule to do, and predicted how much reach and frequency to use, etc, etc. I am just soo glad to be done, 85 on the media plan, B+ in the class! whew!
Lessons & tips: Use all of the resources that are available to you, your teacher, media plan examples, the internet, and your class textbooks. Don't get too overwhelmed, just take it section by section and start early! Have your teacher look over it to tell you if you are on the right track.
