How to create my family tree
It made me

"I was really interesting to find out all this stuff, that I didn't even know was a part of me."
How I did it: I went through my grandmas stuff and had family send any useful documents to me (old people are a gold mine for things like this ;) ). I ended up getting more than I ever expected and finding a family tree that went all the way back to 1762.
Lessons & tips: read EVERYTHING, skim it if you have to, but doing that provides useful info, plus interesting family tidbits.
Resources: ancestry.com, easy and clean layout, go to your local public library and it should have a free data base there.
