How to write a thesis
How I did it: It took a long time... and it always takes longer than you think it will... I made myself think and write and think and write and re-write and think and re-write and write... I let myself incubate ideas... I allowed time to go by before coming back to my writing and often had different or new insights or ideas. I read a lot, a lot, a lot of literature reviews and journal articles - immersed myself in the literature... and then there were times when I pushed all the articles aside and just focused on my data and tried to figure out what it was telling me... then I started to go back into the literature to answer possible questions that I had and to help me to formulate an explanation for the results.
