How I did it: Regular bicycles didn't cut it.  I needed to borrow a trailer and a cargo bike from a friend to haul the large stuff.  Then it was all just a matter of packing and being creative in loading everything.

Lessons & tips: Obviously, the closer together that the places you're moving from and to makes it easier.  For really large items such as beds, dressers and couches, it is good to have a support biker tag along with you.  As always it is very handy to have a roller cart at both the start and end points to maneuver through the house.  A lot of times the trailer will not fit so well between the doors of a house.
