"eating for the purpose of nutrition is the key."
How I did it: paying attention to what's going in the mouth. primarily, avoid sugar. don't obsess over calories. have treats occasionally. fiber may be the best thing. protein is also high on the list.
Resources: egg whites: they are virtually only protein. no need to spend on the pricey omega 3 etc eggs, since all that goes into the yoke. also, if you're having only egg whites, you should eat ~6 eggs at a time. so, cost is an issue.
