How to go to sleep on the bed and not on the couch with the light glaring and the TV blaring (thereby frying eyes, breaking spines, flailing ears, dropping arches of my ecological foot)and remember to brush my teeth and floss

How I did it: Use an electric blanket to preheat the bed. (I like to turn it off before sleeping.)
Load the nightstand with good books to lure you into bed.
(other lures may be acceptable, too.)
