How to decorate my new apartment by sugarfig

"It's awesome being in a space where everywhere I look there is something I like."

How I did it: I amassed a collection of stuff from my past, found objects, new stuff I found in big stores and small stores and old stuff I found at thrift stores or in other friends discarded piles. I wanted some original art, but can't really afford it. Then I put it all where I thought it should be.

Lessons & tips: Never underestimate the awesomeness of resale shops or ever doubt your own creativity.

sugarfig is doing everything she should've done all last month.

While decorating is pretty much a constant cycle, I do feel satisfied with the overall appearance of my home. I would like to get some paintings, but apparently it’s still sort of out of my price range.
One of my favorite things I did was using the birds’ dropped feathers and attached some awesome glass beads I bought at a local jewelry store and hung them as ornaments on a wire tree I bought a few years ago. It’s fun to look at.

I also enjoy the random pieces I have like a melted looking clock, and the wall candle holders my brother gave me for my birthday this year.

I must say I have created a nice environment.
