How to stay up to date with world news

How I did it: Checked news sites on a daily basis, and subscribed to their RSS feeds on my cell phone. I checked BBC World News (highly recommended for an unbiased account of world events), CNN, as well as sites of personal interest, such as technology news and NHL news.
