How to read the books I own before buying more
How I did it: I did read all the books that I had bought for myself.
I had trouble with getting through books that others had bought for me because I wasn't interested in the subject or author. It's great they love Russian or German writers but I'll stick with my American classics. I learned to stick with what I like.
I started this goal because I wanted to save money and books were something that drained me sometimes of my extra money. I just started going to Barnes and Noble, grabbing a cup of coffee and reading shorter books that I enjoy- for free.
Lessons & tips: Read what you love. Just because you've been given 20 books by others as gifts does not mean that you have to read them all. Appreciate the thought in the gift but you could always do a book swap with a friend.
Explore "free" resources such as the library or a bookstore that lets you read their books.
