How to bake my own bread
How I did it: I used the a recipe from the "Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day" book for a simple, no knead dough and I mixed it up. It took 3 1/2 hours to rise & collapse, and then I stuck it in the fridge overnight. The next morning I baked it and it was yummy! Soooo easy. My husband had half the loaf eaten by the time I got home from work that night. I might make pizza tonight with the leftover dough.
Lessons & tips: Buy a pizza/baking stone. Mine was $14.99 at Bed, Bath, & Beyond. If you plan on making bread often, store your bread flour in a large, airtight container because measuring flour out of the bag is too darn messy and annoying.
Resources: "Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes a Day" by Zoe Francois and Jeff Hertzberg. I just got the recipe off the internet but I do plan on buying the book because it has many variations and different bread recipes.
