How I did it: Tried to look at each aspect of my life and figure out what was in my control to simplify. Part of this was realizing that some things are NOT in my control, particularly with regard to other people in my life. All I can do is find ways to cope with those uncontrollable elements. It's an ongoing process that's much more mental than physical.
