How to read at least 30 books in 2009

How I did it: I read 93 books in 2009, not counting cookbooks and children's books. I did count a couple of crafty how-to types of books, if I read them entirely.
I kept track of my reading using goodreads.com.
After a computer crash this Summer, and several LONG months with no TV/Internet, we read an unusually large amount of books. :)
Lessons & tips: Utilize your library's "hold" shelf and online search features. My library allows me to search all of the libraries in the area (online), request the title, and then pick up my books/CD's/DVD's at my local library that is just blocks away.
