How to go to a Jonas Brothers Concert
How I did it: My Jonas Brothers story is kinda cool so I figured I'd share it with you guys.
I read online that they were having a free show in Hollywood and I happened to be on my way to LA for a college tour. After the tour I figured hey, might as well go stand in line and see if I can get tickets while I'm here. So my mom and I stood in line at the House of Blues for about 2 hours until, dun dun dun, the guy comes out and tells everyone there's no more tickets. Kids started crying and mothers were mad but I was kinda whatever about it because they're not my favorite band or anything.
So my mom and I just stand on the sidewalk and wait for my dad to come pick us up. While we're waiting these three kids come up to me and say,
"Hey, did you want to see the Jonas brothers?"
"Yes."
"Well we have an extra ticket and wrist band. You want it?"
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah, you can wait in line with us too if you want."
I definitely didn't believe them at first but sure enough, they had an extra ticket. And well, that was that.
They were pretty close to the front of the line too. I waited with them for about 3 more hours until the show started. They said they gave it to me because I was the only person they saw that was alone (my mom didn't particularly care for seeing the show haha). They said they were gonna sell it but decided to just give it away instead, which is a really amazing thing to do because some people were re-selling them for 50 bucks that night.
So we watched the show and it was SOO fun! I may not be the hugest fan but they definitely won my vote when they covered Stevie Wonder and Bob Marley haha. The House of Blues is pretty small so the whole room was a great seat. I ended up getting separated from the kids but I managed to get up to about the fourth row since I was alone. I don't even think those kids ended up being arm's length away from them like I was :] And who knew that Demi Lovato, Jordin Sparks, and Jesse McCartney would be playing too? For FREE! I couldn't have asked for a better day.
Lessons & tips: Hmm... Well I think my story isn't your average concert experience but I guess just stay positive? And I'm not saying go to concerts alone, but it helps. Haha.
Resources: Well I found out about the show on their Myspace, so that I guess. And random kids who like to do good deeds help too ;]
