I am glad to hear that I am not the only doctoral student feeling this way. I am ABD and am on the downhill slope…..Proposal stages—Not yet IRB approved….Feeling a little anxious about completion….
How to finish my PhD

"Hard. Painful. Frustrating. Productive. Fruitfull. Happy, disappointed by some people, amazed by other people.

How I did it: I did it the hard way. Kept my values and integrety. There are easier ways if you can be more "diplomatic" and less pragmantic.
As a PhD student you will often be treated as less important than... well anything. Dont let get you down. Be prepared and build your defences.
Lessons & tips:
Good advice would be to do your PhD in a research group that is very experienced with all the techniques you will be using.
Make good friends in the lab and most importantly out of the lab.
Ask for help from experts in the field. Interact as much as possible with researchers outside your lab
