How to organize the freezer
"No more throwing yourself to the bottom of the deep freeze to find a pork chop"
How I did it: Our deep freeze was a disaster. Because it's in our garage, it was especially hard in the winter to spend the time digging around out there, because it would be so cold.
I made a list of everything we had out there. Then, I put it all in extra canvas bags I had, organized by type. I tied a different color of fabric to each bags handle to list on my spread sheet. Now, from the kitchen, we can see what is out there, and if I want the bacon, I know it's in the bag with the pink marker, limiting how much I have to go through.
Lessons & tips: Freezer stuff does not stack well. Finding some sort of box or bag system will make it easier to find what you are looking for rather than having a random stack of food sliding around in the bottom.
