How to consult with a life coach
How I did it: I randomly saw a listing for a life coach in my church's bulletin. After thinking it over for a few days, I decided to call the number listed for more information. The coach called me back, and we scheduled an appointment. I met with him every week for a couple months and we discussed my life, what it is now, and what I want it to be.
Lessons & tips: Be prepared to spend some money as well as to have your paradigms and perspectives shift. It's not always comfortable when your intrinsic beliefs about who you are are questioned, challenged, and possibly proven incorrect.
Resources: Local yellow pages, internet, church directory to seek coaches. A substantial fund set aside to afford at least a couple months of coaching to make it worthwhile.
