How I did it: paid off my debt to my ex, then paid off my credit card, then every time I got a thousand bucks lower on my credit card i would ask them to reduce the limit. Eventually got the limit down to $1000 and then I got a Visa Debit Card and transferred all my monthly payments over to the visa and just the other day I rang up and closed my last credit card. YAY.

Lessons & tips: stay committed and you can definitely get rid of your credit card debt. Make your own coffee instead of buying one at a cafe, it might not taste as good but cutting up that credit card will feel awesome.

Resources: look into Visa/mastercard debit cards. dont spend money you havent got.
