How to become a pin-up model.
How I did it: I started out by doing a couple of amateur photoshoots with some photography students in some of the costumes I had made. When I had finally gained some confidence in front of the camera, I found a local photography studio that specialized in cheesecake pin-up, so I booked a spot for their Halloween shoot. It was great fun, and the photographer was really helpful in getting me into good poses.
Lessons & tips: Building your confidence in posing and being in front of the camera is a great way to start. If all you've ever done are the 'say cheese' sort of shots, then definitely take some modeling classes or see if there are some local burlesque classes in your area. If you feel awkward while taking the shot, it's going to show through, so if can just snap into a pose and feel natural in it, the photo will be 100x better. ^^
