How I did it: Go on last.fm make an account, look at music that you never would have looked at before. You'd be surprised. Also, go to a record store and just pick out something for $2 and go home and listen to it. Maybe it's not so good, but at least you can say that you tried. :)

Lessons & tips: Do not discriminate! Just because you think you're not supposed to like something, doesn't mean that you can't try it.
