How to run pregnant as long as I can
How I did it: I did a 5x400m interval workout the day before giving birth. Got really slow during pregnancy and had to reduce mileage drastically, but just went with what I could do, running 5-6 times a week.
On delivery day my husband and I went to our track training group. I didn't run, but walked two laps around the track because I was so much in labor that we didn't even go home but went right to the hospital where I gave birth 2 hours later.
Lessons & tips: Take it easy, accept being slower, eat enough, run shorter but regularly. Think of it as "training for labor".
Resources: coolrunning.com training plans. I went from a beginner half-marathon plan (ran 2 half marathons while pregnant) over an intermediate and then beginner 10k plan to a beginner 5k.
