How I did it: I asked myself "why do IB?"
Because I want to be a person of the world, therefore my education should be able to keep up.
And with this answer I didn't party as much as most in high school, i studied way more than most, and I wrote essays thousands of words long, researched at a level many do not do until graduate school.
It's hard,
I repeat IB is not easy, but if you know you want it for yourself then you can do it. Just buckle down and bite the bullet.
I moved to Australia, and surprise, surprise, my high school diploma was useless, on my IB diploma got me into uni. I have a vision for my life and IB was just a piece, a necessary piece, failure was not an option.

Lessons & tips: Study, study, it's only two years.
People will wanna convince you, you are studying too much, working too hard, wasting your childhood, but you are only a child for a little while, and then you spend the rest of your life reaping the fruits of your childhood, make it a successful adulthood.
Continue to look beyond the now, and focus on the future you want.
