How to quit Smoking
How I did it: i was going away for a week and decided to plan that week as my first smoke free week as my travel buddy really strongly disapproves of smoking so i figured that might help! being away for 1st week while quitting helped as i was out of my normal routine and so out of the usual situations i smoke in and also i was busy with new and fun things while travelling. coming home and back to my regular routine without somking was hard but not as hard as i've found it before when i've tried to give up. off cigarettes 3 weeks yesterday which is longest i've ever been off them without any slips! not easy though especially when you have friends that still smoke...
Lessons & tips: try make the break while out of your normal routine - e.g. on holidays; after moving; after starting new job
Resources: think you're best off without the patches and all that - just keep as busy with other things as you can instead
