How to see a giraffe in the wild
How I did it: I finally made the commitment to doing this and booked a safari in Tanzania. Really the hardest part was deciding to go ahead and do it. Well, that and paying for it. Safaris in East Africa are not cheap!! Once there, the safari company took care of everything, so it was easy!
Lessons & tips: Be sure to check out the company (I did this on the Internet) to make sure they are reputable. There are apparently a lot of fly by night organizations out there, and you want to find someone who will take care of you and the environment, while respecting the culture of the locals (and finding ways to interact). Giraffes are not hard to find out there!!
