How to write regularly in my LiveJournal
"Satisfying"
How I did it: I fixed an approximate time to sit at the computer and write it - after college or after dinner on workdays and after lunch on holidays. Those were two definite times when I would just move about wasting times to relax. So I utilized those minutes to write in my LJ.
I didn't write a whole novella for daily entry but just a few sentences about something I felt strongly about that day. It is a good way of letting things go while still having a record that they happened. It's different from a regular personal diary since I didn't always describe the events. Mostly, I wrote what I was actually thinking/feeling.
Now that felt really good! I only had to use my fingers to type out whatever was floating through my head. A few entries later, I realised that I didn't want anyone and everyone reading it, so I set it to 'friends only'.
Currently, I'm at a stage where I feel that 'something's missing' if I don't write in the LJ. I don't obsess over it, so I guess that's good.
Lessons & tips: - choose a time such that you are plenty sure that you will be able to write something
- do it only if you enjoy it... it's useless to 'force' yourself to do this sort of stuff
- don't stress too much over what you're going to write - that was one thing that kept me from writing
