How I did it: I am already a notary, but I wanted to be approved to notarize electronically as well. We are living in a techie world so why not be a techie girl.

The application is one page, spent about 30 minutes review statute, mailed it in.

How easy the whole process is. If you have 30 minutes and about $50 you can become a traditional notary as well as electronic. The embosser and/or ink stamp runs about $30. Go with the ink stamp for the sake of copies. The embosser just looks all official and nice :)
