"Grow from the source Jesus which you're planted on!!"
How I did it: Jesus is the true vine. You cannot Grow in Christ if your not planted and feeded by Him. He will feed you by His precious love.
This really might sound empty, just as it was to me for a long time. I finally realized that God is a greater God than I could imagened Him to be. You will get a revalation of Gods greatness, when you are facing that you yourself are weak. It sounds crazy, but in a weak period of my life, I found out that, not my strengt, diciplin or knowlege is going to feed me and get me somewhere, to be proud at the end... Even not religious trying to search the bible and so on getting God to love me..NO! Thats not my and your strength. Gods precious love for you is the power which has overcome all sin, death and weakness. By grace you might receive the fact that you are desperatly loved by The Amazing King of Kings, Lord of Lords.
Everyday I feel loved now. Not because I do good sometimes and read my scriptures, but because Jesus died for me (so actually He did GOOD). By that true understanding that you are loved, God will lead you and prunes you sometimes. That might hurt, but His love will lead you trough everything. He has an higher goal with you!
Lessons & tips: So maybe you really want to grow in Christ, but you don't truly feel loved. You don't feel the motivation, or you think it is to hard. Let me tell you this, it is bringing you more happiness than anything. Only there is one thing you need to do: Be fed by the vine. You cannot grow if you don't recieve your water, your nourishment, your power. God wants to feed you. Find out, what is feeding you right now? What are the things you hear, see and think of on a daily bases? Are this things of love, peace and Gods truth?
Most of the times we are surrendered by things which are the opposite of Gods truth. But luckily Gods love isn't hindred by anything!
" For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, nether the present nor the future, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to seperate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Rom. 8:38
Surrender yourself by Gods truth, good music, Gods word the Bible. Let it feed you. Go to a secret, quiet place and talk to God, receive His love, His truth, just where you are. Say God, here I am, I want to receive. I need your power, because I'm weak. I need your wisdom, because I have none, I need your love so I can love. I need you. Show God your heart is thirsty to be fed.
And you know, when you have a seed, and water it an put it in the right envoirement: NOTHING can stop it from coming up. Especially if it is God taking care of it! So, now you are a branch, loved by God which is getting fed by Gods love in your secret place (a quiet place, maybe your room). Get yourself located in Him by speaking and filling yourself with His truth. Listen to Good love music of God, Get overwhelmed by His goodness.
Now, nothing can stop you from growing in Christ! Isn't that beautifull?
Resources: In the bible, all people are aware of the fact that there is a source needed for their growing. For example Daniel and Samuel. These guys where staying hours a day in the presence of God. Being fed by His love, wisdom and Holy Word.
The precious Holy Spirit is the one who will lead you in all this. Honor Gods Spirit, and give Him the place He deserves in your heart. So the number one sources are:
