How to fire a gun in a shooting range

How I did it: I posted on my facebook that I wanted to go to the shooting range and a guy I went to high school with offered to take me. We met a few days later and went to a local shooting range.
Lessons & tips: Take advantage of your social networks and find someone willing to take you shooting.
Resources: Facebook, knowing someone that uses a range and had the guns and equipment to take me.
