How to dress more stylishly
How I did it: I was never the sort to blow money on expensive clothes, even when I was younger. A hundred dollars for a pair of jeans is just...sickening. I used to limit my wardrobe to a couple pairs of jeans and a dozen or so pairs of the same plain black t-shirts from walmart. It didn't look great, but it was simple and relatively cheap.
But it doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg. I started frequenting the neighborhood thrift stores, and its amazing what you can find. For the same price as a plain t-shirt, you can get nice dress shirts, athletic wear, jeans, and pretty much anything else. You can put together outfits that look great for 5-10 bucks.
Lessons & tips: Don't go out and try to look like a runway model. Adapt a style that looks good and works for you, and do it as soon as possible. Your confidence and all around self image gets a huge boost when you're happy with the way you're dressed. If you're still completely clueless, ask a girl to go with you and give you some pointers in exchange for lunch. Don't have a girl? That's okay, women have to shop too. Don't be afraid to ask a strangers opinion.
