How to pay down my debt
How I did it: I lived with my father, worked 6-7 days a week(2 jobs) since July, and stuck to my budget. Keeping in mind that I started school full time in August, the schedule was Hell. But it's worth it. So worth it.
Now all I need to do is stay afloat, come out even through Xmas and then I can start building my savings.
Exciting!
Almost. I feel like my batteries are dead; I need to recharge. Perhaps next semester.
Lessons & tips: Budget!
Keep track of your funds. Cut out the extras.
Every dollar counts.
Patience pays. You don't need that item right now.
- My car is a 98 Ford Taurus with no car payment. Auto insurance is on the lower side. Cars are a *huge* money-sucker. Limit your travel, shop for better deals.
- Suck up your pride for the thing that matters.
Don't waste your money away on something you don't really need. Buy generic, less flashy items. I'm not precisely proud to be waiting tables. Work the job that gets you there.
