How I did it:
I had always wanted to visit stonehenge for the summer solstice; the one night of the year when people are allowed to spend the entire night at stonehenge and can experience the stones without queues and barriers.  I finally did this in 2006 - there was a festival atmosphere and we spent the whole night hanging out in the field, right next to stonehenge.  The highlight however was watching the sun come up the next morning.  It was a beautiful sunrise and an amazing experience!
