"It nice that I don't have to pay someone else to do twists anymore"
How I did it: I've had kinky twists done on my hair with and without extensions many times. So, I had a little knowledge of it before. I actually went on youtube, and watched a lot of tutorials by other people. They were really helpful, and they offer a lot of different techniques and styles. Personally, I like the no braid technique, because it looks more natural, but people think it's a little difficult at first. Anyway, now I can wear my kinky twists as my natural hair grows out.
Lessons & tips: Don't give up, even when you're arms are getting a little heavy and tired.
My hair is short, 4b, and hates combs. So, you can do this style with pretty much any hair.
Resources: I used shea butter to condition and Twist and Lock Gel
