I think
I should add this goal. I have some dry cleaning that’s been in a basket for… gulp... maybe years? because I won’t take it to a regular old dry cleaner.
How I did it: I looked online for green cleaners in my area, then I had to narrow it down a bit to the only one I could find that was certified non-toxic, green, eco-friendly. Then I got in my car and drove there, but I combined it with other errands because the emissions from my car driving to the other side of town would seem to defeat the purpose of using an eco-friendly cleaner...
Lessons & tips: Um...check online in your area, be sure they are really certified as green/non-toxic (a couple of places were listed as green, but I think it was only because of the way they disposed of their used solvent, not because they used non-toxic cleaners to begin with).
Resources: Online, my debit card, the coffee shop across the street from the cleaners where I rewarded my earth-lovin' self with a nonfat chai.
