How to live in a different country

How I did it: During my studies in Germany, I took a semester abroad in France. I applied for a scholarship and got it, i worked for several months and saved some money. In France I looked for an internship to meet new people and to get in touch with the every-day life in France.
Lessons & tips: don't give up early, it is hard at the beginning without your friends, find a place to meet new people, volunteer, you will find new friends!
