How I did it: I watched the local newspaper, saw the ad that made it simple for me to do, and went down to the Senior Center (you didn't have to be a senior; you just had to be a county resident) and I had a feeling of deep satisfaction when I was done.

Lessons & tips: Read your local paper's weekly events section to see what free health tests are available.  Even if you don't need the "free" part, it skips going to the doctor, getting a test referral, going to the hospital for the blood test, and waiting for the results.  This was all over in one shot, half an hour, max.
