How to be in a musical
"Interesting!"
How I did it: I was/am in a small town in Kansas, and I saw an open audition trifold on the table at a restaurant. I just went to the auditions and tried out, and they took pretty much everyone, haha. It was fun nonetheless.
Lessons & tips: You don't have to have a "pretty" voice. It's more about volume. It helps if you are on key and stuff, but if you are in character you can sing as that character and so you dont necessarily have to sound like a radio star or anything. but my biggest struggle was being loud enough!
