How to do NaNoWriMo
"Sit down and write"
How I did it: I've attempted NaNoWriMo a few times, and never won. In 2009, I finally managed to pull it off. For the first time, I had more than a vague idea of the storyline. This helped immensely, and I think it's what made the difference. I had started planning a month before, and by the time November arrived, I was eager to start writing. The first days went well. The middle of the month was very bad. My motivation went up again when I came close to 40.000. Finally, the last 5.000 words were awful. But I did it, and I'm so proud that I succeeded.
