How I did it: I either have the worst luck -- or the best luck -- when it comes to saving someone's life. Last week as I left the gym, I came upon another traffic accident. It was an elderly woman. I held her head and provided assistance while calling 9-1-1. Here is the story about her. I placed the blanket under her head that a passerby offered (thank you!) as her head was bleeding. She was 88 years old. It was her husband's birthday... I have not heard any updates on her and hope she is recovering okay!

Lessons & tips: Take first aid!! And do NOT be afraid to stop your car and get out to help people. Do NOT assume others will do it. There was 20 cars stopped around this woman and only two of us got out to assist. I was about 10 car lengths back and had to drive around everyone to get to her to assist. Lazy people! Selfish! Go beyond your comfort zone to help others.
